CAOCHANGDI ART DISTRICT

Ever since I was a little girl my weekends has involved arts. I loved as a kid (or at least so I remember) the road trips we did on the weekends - We packed up the little car and drew off - out to see the world and more importantly - eat out. Now I am living in Beijing - eating out so much that I don´t love it as much as I did back then - but however I still love - absolutely love - the weekend art road trips. As you might remember boyfriend and I often did in Copenhagen - and while he was visiting we also went to 798 to see Olaf Eliasson - but now he´s gone for a while anyway - and I am all on my own with the road trips - and I must confess it´s more fun when you´re two - so this weekend I asked a friend if she wanted to come and luckily she loved to. So Saturday we went to Caochangdi art district - a little north of 798 - and what a place - very cool buildings, very nice places to eat, some cool art and most cool of all - NO PEOPLE - and In China - that is really really nice - and coming from 798 which is so crowed - It as super nice being able to move around the huge galleries. Caochangdi is kind of huge - so we only saw, maybe, half of it - so I am for sure going back for more - but maybe on a day less hot - Saturday was 35 degrees and super sunny.
