We, my parents, boyfriend and I went for one of my families specialities - art roadtrips - on easter saturday. The plan was to see Katrine Ærtebjerg and the other exhibition on Trapholt - have lunch at by brother in laws restaurant In Kolding and visit Vejle Museum. I must be honest and say that Kathrine Ærtebjerg did not live up to my expectations - but they were also set quite high - I found her paintings a little empty and lacking stories, but her color use were better than ever, but that doesn´t say so little. My favorites at her exhibition were her drawings which I found sweet, funny and surprising.
Lars Ravn outside Trapholt - another Danish artist that I will write more about in the future - I have learned about him through my dad who is a fan and has bought some pieces of his work. His style is playful, colorful and naive- I think he is brilliant and I´ll bet that my collection will include him in the future.
Danish painter Per Kirkeby - If you don´t know him - try to google him - you will not regret it - He is so great ! We also learned that he has decorated Geological Museum in Copenhagen and non of us know - not even my super cool art specialist dad - So yes; that´s now on my "to go se" list and I bet on daddy´s too.
Franciska Clausen - a danish artist that in had her peak in the pre second-worldwar and this is just one little master piece from her hand - Art deco wall paper - I think it looks super cool and defiantly wouldn´t mind having it in our home.

Svend Wiig Hansens sculptures at the stairs of Vejle Museum where we ended our little road trip. All in all a perfect saturday with the 3 most important people in my life, doing one of my favorite things in the world - watching fine modern arts.
