CHINESE CHAPLIN IN MOMA CINEMA

At the moment there´s Chaplin festival in Beijing - and me simply love him. So when I saw that The Dictator was showing in Moma Cinema on a Friday night I was so ready - so yesterday I went with two colleges to the cinema. We bought our tickets and in best Beijing style we were late, so the movie had already been playing for 15 minutes when we were shown to our seats and Chaplin was doing his hilarious Hitler interpretation. I was super excited and could not wait for the next two hours - when Chaplin started speaking Chinese ! Chinese ! and yes, even without English subtitles ... Me not happy ! After 5 more minutes of Chinese Chaplin - 3 disappointed Danes left the movie - and I went directly to the ticket office - and actually managed to get our ticket money back. Well that let us with some time on our hands to check out the magnificent area Moma ! I for sure will go back again both for the movies (which I will check if in English) but also to check out the beautiful buildings. This is what I love about Beijing - you keep being surprised and impressed with what the city hides. After inspecting the area we went for dumpling before heading home for ice cream and a hot skype date with Boyfriend. Today it is raining - now 9.30 pm - and it´s still raining cats and dogs - I had so many idea of what I wanted to do today; pick up 6 pictures I am having re-framed, go to the flower marked to pick up some flowers for the flat and a little trip to Ikea to buy a coffee maker - but all I did was workout and go out for sushi for lunch - hope tomorrow will cross of a couple of abow things on my list.
