MIDDLE EASTERN STUFF

I brought home 4 different things from my trip to the Middle East - well actually 5 as I also bought self-tanner in Dubai. Actually I wanted to buy it here in China but the lady in the store laughed at me and said no, no, no ! But Dubai said yes, yes, yes - so now I have a nice glow again - the fake way. But for the little China home I brought 4 pillow cases in Istanbul and in Dubai I sprung for a candlestick, a coaster and a little Arabic family - It getting more and more cozy here and I am feeling more and more home - give me 2 month more and this place will be as nice as our Copenhagen place.

ISTANBUL POTPOURRI

So just returned yesterday evening after my short short visit in Istanbul. I had the best Saturday there as one of my suppliers showed me some of Istanbul´s pearl - which I, eventhough I have travelled there so many time that I cannot count for the last 10 years, never have seen! Sultanahmet, Aya Sofia and The Basilica Cistern and I even had time to buy myself some souvenirs - 4 kelim pillow cases which I have been wonding for years ! In Dubai, with 6 hours of layover, I bought even more souvenirs - so the little China Castle is getting more and more pimped ... I will show you later !

A.P.C. JOURNAL

I have a new blog to follow ... A.P.C. journal ... and might have to check out a store or two in Paris as well - you never know if they again this year will supply me with a winter jacket!

ISTANBUL INTERNET CRUSHES

I am in shopping mood - Friday night alone in a hotel in Istanbul. Just me, my mac, Ebay and not to forget Marni Visual Store Sale ... I hope I can behave myself as I would love to have money on my spending budget for Paris in two weeks - but there are many nice things on the internet! Happy Friday evening - my last night here - before we tomorrow after half a day of sighseeing are returning to the Far East.

BEIJING-DUBAI-ISTANBUL AND BACK

I am out of town on business in Istanbul. After 20 hours of traveling I am finally alone in my hotel room in one of my favorite cities in the world. The next couple of months are gonna be a crazy couple of months - I will go back to China on Saturday, arrive on Sunday only to go back to Europe on Wednesday the week after (yes, to work but also to have my super romantic get-away with Mr. Boyfriend in Paris) then back to China, only to go south, before my sis, mom and sis´s Mr. Boyfriend is coming to visit - before I again to Europe for 2 weeks only to return to China to go to Tokyo for a weekend for myself and a couple of days work. Well to take one thing at the time - Istanbul is two days hard work before we hopefully have a half day to play tourist in Istanbul - which I actually never have been before, so I cannot wait - and I am pretty sure I can upload quite a few pictures on Sunday - back in Beijing where I left my cable to my camera ! This picture is from last year in Marts when I bought myself a birthday present - The wonderful Kelim that now is laying under our dining table in Copenhagen ... I wish for more gift (from myself to myself - you never go wrong !)

GOOD FRAME WORK

Just picked up lots of green plants in Ikea and my 6 Svend Wiig pics from my frame pusher. I have tried out rounded frames which I actually really did not like and thought was really bad Chinese taste until I went to the Jorn museum a couple of weeks ago and I think the result is super ! Actually the idea was (and kind of still is) that I was just gonna get them framed out here where framing is cheaper and also round frames possible - and then bring them back home to their normal hooks ... But my 100 m2 have a lot of wall space which our 43 m2 flat doesn´t really have so maybe they will be Chinese for a while. I am off to the gym and maybe actually also the Silk Marked for a inspiration - I haven´t been there for ages so think it could be a fun late Sunday evening project.

YOU LOST ME

Just heard this one on the telly for the first time - Saturday night alone on the sofa in China ... That makes me miss Mr. Boyfriend - fortunately we are far from lost ... actually we are very much on - and looking forward to be reunited with a love weekend in Paris in just 3 weeks - can´t wait to see him again in the City of Love - but well it still sucks being alone with X-stina.
