BOYFRIEND IS GROWING UP

Yesterday it was boyfriends birthday - He turned 29 year old - so very soon we are 60 year old all together!

His birthday started out with breakfast and lots of presents in the morning and ended up with his family coming all the way from Jutland for homemade pizzas (his speciality - which he rocks !) & homemade lagkage - with is maybe one of my specialities - 6 layer, cream & marzipan, sugar figures & candles - big success!
If you wanna try yourself you have buy this :

2 packages of lagkage bottoms
1 big glass of jam (choose your favorite)
3 egs
6 dl. of milk
6 tea spoons of marizena
3 table spoons of sugar
3 tea spoons of vanilla sugar
1/4 l cream
1 package of marzipan
1 package of decoration from doctor Öthker

You start out the night before the cake should be eaten - the layers will be best 12-24 hours after being put together.

You start out whipping eggs & sugar into a light white air full mass and then add the marizena,
then you make the milk boil and pore it into the egg mass
boil the "cream for 3-4 minutes while whipping it to avoid lumps
Finish off adding the vanilla to give the cream the right flavor.

Put the lagkage bottoms on a plate - sprinkle the bottom layer with liquor
then add 1 layer of jam & 1 layer of cream and the 1 more lagkage bottom and do so until you have used up all the layers. Leave the top without jam and cream - cover the cake up and put it into the fritz until the next day.

The day of eating you whip cream stiff and add 1 table spoon of vanilla to add flavor.
You add the cream on top of the last layer.

Then you roll out the marzipan out - do it with a roll and with the marzipan inside a bag of plastic - to give the marzipan a nice surface and avoid the marzipan sticking to the roll.

Then you cut the marzipan into the right shape of the lagkage - and you put it on top of the hole thing - making the edges nice.

Finish up adding decoration on top of the cake - you can make that stick with frosting if needed
- and then add flags and lights - Happy Birthday !
