KIESLOWSKI COLORS

I just bought the 3 colors on Saturday - I am looking forward to re-seeing them over the next couple of weeks. I am going to Milan tomorrow morning - so maybe the plain is the right place to see the first. Can´t wait for the re-view of both the movies and wonderful Milan.

LEPORELLO

I went to Politiken Hall yesterday with boyfriend to se the tiny exhibition with Leporello "books" - the concept is small fold-out books created as a co-operation between an artist and a writer - such as Lone Hørslev/Kaspar Bonnèn, Seimi Nørregaard/Morten Schelder and Lars Skinnebach/Kristin Eiriksdottir. I like the artform that is a super cool updated-oldfashion alternativ to Apple´s Ibook - and of course I ended up buying the little collection of 11 books. If you want to do the same, they are 400 dkr - see more here : Leporello

JOHN KØRNER

Look what I found on Amager today - I love Copenhagen's hidden treasures - and believe me, it´s full of it - you just have to look up, around & behind !

RATHSACK´S GREENLAND ON CHRISTIANSHAVN

After visiting Svend Rathsack´s old house the other day - I was very curious to see his statues on Christianhavns Torv - so we jumped on our bikes to day and biked all around half of Copenhagen. It was a trip that let us to Christianshavn, Amager, Frederiksberg, Midtown & Vesterbro - visiting all kind of different stores, places and one little gallery - one of Boyfriend & mine favorits: Edition Copenhagen, Christianshavn. The gallery is actually not open on saturdays, but since the owner was there by coincidence, we got to have a look around - and of course I have already fallen in love - again - but I will behave and wait - at least until my 3 little darlings have come home next week.

LOOK WHAT I ADDED TO MY WALL

I just added the first piece of Henrik Vibskov clothing to my wardrobe yesterday - I think it´s a little piece of art - and wearing it today I even think I felt some of creativity rubbing off on me.

BEEN WORKING OUT OF THE OFFICE TODAY

Went for at meeting in this wonderful place today which use to be Svend Rathsack´s old studio - It makes wish I lived 100 year ago - and was working as an sculpture. It also makes me with I was loaded and didn´t live in a 43 m2 appartment with boyfriend in Vesterbro ... Hopefully China will bring me more m2.

HENRY HEERUP

Some time ago I started a photo serie called "look up". The idea is to take photos of all the beautiful art in Copenhagen - just hanging there without anyone really noticing it - and now I´ll begin sharing it with you guys. This is the first and my absolute favorite wall decoration - from Steengade on Nørrebro - I used to pass it every day to my old job - and I love it. I have grown up with Heerup - my parents have a wonderful painting and I myself have a lithography hanging in my appartment - but I wish I lived in Steengade and got to look at this pearl everyday - and then again - maybe not ! Anyway - a so cool wall than only can make you happy just looking at it.

WHAT DO YOU HAVE ON YOUR BOOK SHELF ?

these I bought for boyfriend once I was traveling all by myself in Berlin - Let´s say it isn´t one of his favorite presents - The Polar running watch this X-mas was much more of a hit - not to speak of his "usual" presents when I am traveling - New running shoe ... Aways a sure hit!
I bought this in Hanoi, Vietnam - when I went there almost 6 years ago to represent Denmark at an ASEM event. I made a hole collection based on my exit-collection from Design school and went for 2 weeks to Hanoi & Ho Chi Minh City to make several fashion shows together with a lot of designers for all over Asia & Europe - A super cool experience and I have this wonderful 3 layered
I bought this bowl with my mother in Tunisia 3 summers ago when we went there for 1 weeks holiday - Wonderful to be on holiday with my mother - but my god I simply hated the Tunisia - You were not able to go anywhere without having men trowing themselves at you ... And yes, yes I am beautiful - but not THAT beautiful ! - Inside the bowl there is small cakes from Japan - actually I bought them for small presents for people - but I never really found an occasion where you bring small cookies dressed at japanese women - so now they sleep in the bowl.
This is the first art-thing Boyfriend & I ever bought together - It is a box for matches painted and the artist actually told us that it use to be a casket for a dead flue but after some time she changed the dead flue with a red ball - we are very happy about that - and love the little casket very much.
The little dromedary is also from my trip to Tunisia with my mom, tiger masks bough for at birthday party - but we never got around to use it & an african comb that I have gotten from my mom.
I bought this box in Cambodia this summer - Boyfriend was sick so he waited outside the marked while I was running through the marked where I found this wonderful box. Inside Boyfriend has all his stuff - that otherwise just would be laying all around. I think it beautiful crafted and there was no doubt when I saw it - I had to have it.

PRECIOUS

We went to se "Precious" yesterday in Vester Vov Vov. Actually it was surpose to be a filmclub movie - but we decided that we wanted to do something just the two of us.We had a quick dinner at Lhé Lhé take away first and then went to my favorit cinema in Copenhagen.

wauh - what a movie. It sincerely made me think and appreciate my childhood in Jutland on a farm with parents that really wanted me and my sister.
It has been criticised for having Mariah Carey and Lenny Kravitz in the cast- but I didn´t think I took the attention from any of the many many issues in the movie. The movie is up for several oscars and if you ask me - worth seeing.
The movie also made me thin of the 1995´s "Kids" - chloe sevigny´s break through movie
- Do you remember it ?

Were you guys as heartbroken as I was, when it ended ?

TUESDAY PRESENTS

Boyfriend brought home the sweetest gift yesterday – He had been to Frederiksberg to exchange some birthday stuff and came back with a couple of surprises for me.
guess he like that I bake on sunday ... This sunday its gonna be chocolate cupcakes with light pink hearts and maybe I am also gonna find out what the sprinkles are good for - besides looking wonderful colorful - and making a nice sound when you shake the box.
He also bought a little piece of heaven for us to share - I simply love french nougat !

I GET MY COFFEE AT ...

- this super coffee shop - just around the corner from where I live - Very nice and smoke free alternative to Ricco´s - where we used to pick up a cup every quit so often.
the bar is place just next to Enghave plads - where you for the last couple of years have been able to buy Hansen Ice cream - Don´t know what I will do this summer (when I am visiting from China) but until then - I will just love the pink & orange cups you get your coffee in.
Everything in the coffee shop is unique and origianal - which makes the atmosphere very Copenhagen-ish and Vesterbro-sk.
Check it out here & help name it at: Navnløs bar er et hit på Vesterbro - iBYEN.dk
