APARTMENT DREAMS

We are moving to our new place in approximately one month - and I cannot wait ! It will be so nice to have our own place again - our own floors, our own walls, our own everything. 5 rooms (plus a kitchen and a bathroom) are a bit more than we have ever had before - so I am looking for a bit of inspiration - and this house belonging to the Danish furniture architect Børge Mogensen has so many cool solutions, details and features.

SUMMER TIME

Once again I am the worst blogger on the face of the earth. Summer has hid Denmark quite hard and the blog is suffering from it - It´s too nice weather to sit inside and blog - and icecream is required every day.
Our little family is enjoying it to the fullest and living by the sea with a balcony is not so bad when it´s grill season - so dinners are often prepared like this
My days are spend outside working on a tan and of course enjoying Baby to the fullest - showing him all my favorite places in Copenhagen.
He´s growing so fast - now 5 and a half month and so full of energy that we are worried about how tired we will be when he starts to move around on his own. That´s not all - he´s also started eating "real" food, and this has changed our life a bit to; as the little guy insists to control the spoon and cup himself ... There´s a lot more to clean up than when he was only breastfeed....
Since my last blog a lot has happened; we have been to my parents place, been to a Salomon trail race with Daddy, been to Baby´s cousin´s "getting a name - party" and Baby´s Great Grandmother´s 80th Birthday party - well yes, and probably a lot more not so "big"event like.
- lot of fun new things for Baby (and for us) - and luckily he is just smiling through it all - our little cool Baby Boy.
Now we are up to date - however I hope for more good weather, but promise to be a better blogger through out the summer.

HUSK MIT NAVN AT KØS

This weekend it was time for yet another roadtrip. We packed up our little family and headed for Køge; a small city approximately 40 km outside of Copenhagen. Here "The Danish Museum Of Art In The Public Space" is placed; and this weekend was my first time visiting it (-but for sure not the last) The reason for going was the Danish streetartist Husk Mit Navn (you might remember him for here, here and here) but there was lots of other interesting things when we arrived there; a small exhibition about Bjørn Nørgaard´s Gobelins for the Danish Queen (not sure of the English word for that; google translate says: Tapestry ?) and an exhibition about art playgrounds; which is perfect for when Baby is a little older, so I took notes and pictures to remember where to go. But the main attraction - the Husk Mit Navn exhibition was very cool and totally worth the trip: lots of different things such as photos, paintings, skateboards, on the wall drawings, painted chairs and much much more; and it was a big hit with not just Boyfriende and me, but also Baby enjoyed it very much. He is becoming quite the little art-person; not yet 5 months old and already been to Lousiana, SMK, KØS, Niels Stærk, V1, Ordrupgaard...well lets see if we won´t add one or two more to the list before he turns 5 months in 2 weeks; there´s fore sure a good chance.

NANNA DITZEL´S TRISSE

When we were kids, my sister and I, we drew, played and had tea parties at our little Nanna Ditzel Trisse table with matching chairs. Now both of us being a mummy, we want to give our little boy and girl their own seating arrangements like ours - but now the Trisses are not just in wood color as the original one and the one we had in the 70´s and 80´s (which is still at my parents attic crying for a loving hand) - no; now it´s available in rainbow colors. I still think I will choose the classic one; though you know I love colors; but there´s just something about the original vibe and of course also the memories from my childhood; something that I cannot ignore. That being said; I love the "new" campaign pictures; so true to the original vibe.

VISITING FINN JUHL

On the weekend we went to Ordrupgaard to see their Per Kirkeby exhibition, their wonderful Gauguins and of course also to see the fantastic Ordrupgaard. The last two did not disappoint me; but the first one did; too much of too poor quality; if you ask me ... however roadtrip with my two lovers is always lots of fun no matter where we go or what we see. Just next to Ordrupgaard is Finn Juhl´s house, a place I have never seen before, and I was so inspired !!! I love love love the furniture, the colors, the paintings, the carpets, the build-in solutions; well I just loved the place and both of us now have cool solutions to our future home; oh yes; by the way: we bought a new place and are moving in less than 3 months; I simply can´t wait till the 108 m2 are ours and we can start our new life; back in the city... not Vesterbro, our old neighborhood, but very close; Valby, which is maybe a little more suitable for a small family with a baby, as it is close to the Zoo, and lots of green areas, playgrounds and places to run around. Well yes, super exiting; both our new place but so absolutely also Finn Juhl´s house...

IT´S MY PARTY

Yesterday was my birthday and I spend it, as planned, with my two favorite boys. Boyfriende had planned at trip through the city collecting some of my gifts, eating lunch and visiting the spring exhibition at Charlottenborg - and though the weather was not great ... it rained ALL DAY ... it was the best day; so turning 33 was much better than turning 32.
