2 DAY LEFT

I am going home - I need to do absolutely nothing ... but fun stuff for 14 days. The clock is ticking - 2 days left till SAS is carrying me home to my love, my family and friends - I simply can not wait.

RILO KILEY

I am hung over ... again ... looking so much forward to Friday and 14 day of none drinking holiday - okay maybe not but at least less than here in my Chinese teenager life. I went to an Easter lunch yesterday - well yes, Danes abroad are a little strange - with a lot of the super cool girls from the Wednesday club - which unfortunately are going to be reduced to 4-5 people after the summer because everybody is moving back to Denmark. Well that´s Beijing life. Speaking of - I don´t really listen so much to p3 out here - as we are 6 hours in front of Denmark and my favorite programs are in the afternoon and there I don´t listen to the radio - well that means I am not very updated on the music scene - however I stumbled over Rilo Kiley - well better late than never - my new favorite song is "does he love you?" from 2004 - I think. Really super super cool - it must be my new love affair - taking over after She & Him - well needed as volume 1 & 2 is all worn out. Well happy Sunday - I am busy recovering on my sofa.

THE WAY WE WERE

Memories
Like the corners of my mind
Misty watercolor memories
Of the way we were

Scattered pictures
Of the smiles we left behind
Smiles we gave to one another
For the way we were

Can it be that it was all so simple then?
Or has time rewritten every line?
If we had the chance to do it all again
Tell me would we could we?

Memories
May be beautiful and yet
What's too painful to remember
We simply choose to forget

So it's the laughter
We will remember
Whenever we remember
The way we were
The way we were

I love love love "The Way We Were" and I love Barbra - and how cute does she not look here? I think I need to re-see my favorite Robert and Barbra movie soon. Speaking of - just saw "Boy A" tonight - Wauh I am on a very good movie strike at the moment - If you haven´t seen it - please consider - I really really liked it but it was not a pleasant feeling it has left in my mind.

PRETTY MUSIC

The blog is all art these day - well that being when I actually have time to update it. But never to busy to dedicate a blog or two to She & Him and the wonderful Zooey Deschanel - just found these wonderful pictures of the two - only wish I could find some songs I haven´t heard a million times - If you haven´t heard of them I am so jaloux - I wish I could get to know them for the first time all over again (kind of how I feel about boyfriend as well - could re-live every day with him over and over again - wauh I miss him - so glad I only have 12 days left till I am in his arms again !)

RAINY SUNDAY IN 798

t

So I went to 798 today - to see Christian Lemmerz first solo exhibistion - but I am very glad there´s other stuff in 798 ! His skull installation was in my opinion old fashion, boring and absolutely not worth taking the trip for. However there´s always lots of other fun stuff there - some of better quality than others - but it´s always a beautiful place to walk around even through the rain and today I even had the pleasure of showing it to a new Dane in Beijing and he thought it was a very cool place too. It has been a wonderful day - eating lunch there - but I am not so sure about tonight - I need to say goodbye to friend leaving for Denmark - for good. The life here is all about saying goodbye to people - and I have already done so to a couple - but this is very dear friends - so it´s gonna be a hard evening - but I need to toughen up - otherwise it´s gonna be too hard living here - people leave constantly! I will let you know how that´s going.

THE VISITOR

Just saw this master piece tonight - go see if you haven´t already - you will not regret it!

LARS ÅKIRKE

Just because I am in China does it not mean that I don´t buy wall "stickers" in Denmark ... Boyfriend is loving it - not... Because he has to pick it up, store it till I get back home and yes, when I do - he also has to hold while I am finding the perfect spot for it in our - well let say maybe very - art fill home. There´s not a lot of room left and I still haven´t framed the JF Willumsen sketches I bought I left - but as they are quite big there will probably not be room for them in our Copenhagen apartment - they might come live with me in China. But our newest babies - are small - so I will find room for them. I have bought 2 sketches for late Danish artist Lars Åkirke on Bruun Rasmussen - at the enormous price of 500 Dk kr. and yes, I think they are worth every penny.

It´s Saturday today - and now I am off to have my nails done, visit the glasses market and hang out with my friends who are leaving for Denmark on Monday - for good. But I am thinking of going to 798 tomorrow - Christian Lemmerz is exhibiting at Galleri Faurschou and I want to go see. So if I do - well let guess there will be photos.

WANG GONGXIN

To day I "found" Wang Gongxin in Caochangdi Art District - and I love him. Super cool installation - and that´s me - how normally hates installation. Well China is moving my taste - and I am loving it!

ART PUSHER

I picked up my new poster from the framer yesterday - and It looks super cool - the poster is fun and the framing is quite good as well. I tried out a new framing place for this one, as I am trying to find the best one to frame my prints from J.F. Willumsen which I bought just before I left Denmark. In Copenhagen I have a frame-pusher in Blågårdsgade - called Nørrebros Indramning - and they frame basically all my pictures - and they do a really really good job - however compared to Beijing - well they frame for 1/3 of the price and within 4 days - which is well yes 1.5 month quicker than Nørrebros Indramning. But each place has it´s own cool features - Copenhagen has the coolest miniature window and newest frame pusher in Beijing has a cool decorated door. Now I am off - I have been cleaning the 100 m2 flat - puhh - takes a bit longer than Copenhagen´s 43 m2 - and my afternoon I will spend in Caochangdi Art District once again - lots of galleries I didn´t see two weeks ago - and after meeting an English Art historian on Friday who said she thought it was the most interesting place in Beijing - I am for sure ready for more inspection. I let you know later how it went.
